Nice finder. I have used a the TeleVue Starbeam and the TeleVue Qwik Point, and I would say the Stellarvue is much better than the Qwik Point and very close to the Starbeam. The Starbeam only beats it in build quality and in the fact that I could get the red dot dimmer in the Starbeam than I could in the Stellarvue. The Stellarvue Red Dot Finder is an excellent value, and highly suggested.

I simply can't get mine to work. The dot appear, but no amount of adjusting gets things alligned. I did not lace an overall vote in case the problem is with me. Due to the low price, I can't see making the effort to return it.

Sharon,

It should work. You might have a bad battery perhaps?? Also try it in a dark room. The dot is too dim to see in the daylight.

I've used two red-dot finders, this one and the Orion EZfinder.

This finder has a nice build quality and is easier to adjust.

Like the other voters, I find that the glass in this finder to be a little dark, obscuring the view a bit too much.

Usually this is bundled with a scope from Stellarvue, that's how I came by this finder.

This is my 2nd led starpointer and is far better than the Celestron I have. The larger window is much easier to use and controls are smooth and not jerky . The only fault I find with it is that the window is slightly too dark and obscures some dimmer stars from view. It is very lightweight and does feel a little cheap however I have given it some rough use without breaking it and the light weight is nice.

Works well except that the sight glass dims out the stars you can see significantly when compared to the Rigel quickfinder or the Telrad. I own one of these which is attached to my
SBIG ST-237A when I use it in "eFinder" mode, for that purpose the even smaller size and lighter weight make this a good choice even compared to the Rigel quickfinder.

Got 3 of these! Easy and effective to use, light as a feather, a little marginal in mechanical/mounting strength (probably why it's so light!). Perfect for use on my absolute-minimal-weight Dob secondary cage (ring).
