I recently picked this up for my 14" Tscope, and while I've only used it twice, I am blown away by the performance.
I wanted something that would let me see deeper than my 50 mm finder, and it does. Both M51 and M101 were visible under less than optimum conditions which is something my 50 could never do. It is lightweight for a 80mm scope at 2.5 pounds. It's well made and looks great. Optically, it outperformed the Orion ST80 I owned several years back, I was surprised by the relative lack of color on bright objects like the moon.

Just wanted to add that after using this for some time, I still love it. You might want to add the Rigel Pulse Guide Illuminator to make the crosshairs easier to see. I find it helps under dark skies.

Oh my. I've been sitting and twcihitng with the sound of needles clickety clacking at inappropriate times. And, I'm a knitter. I felt Cheryl's pain from the very first line. And, what a story! You had me hanging onto every word. Love the last line, too.
