Stellarvue 90mm
I bought this scope to be a more portable yet capable alternative to my home made 6" reflector. Tried my first start test after checking Suiter out of the library and got nice concentric defraction rings on Vega with a 9mm ploessl. There may be slight undercorrection, but I'll reserve that judgement till a night of better seeing and some more experience on my part. The mount is very stable on slow motion, but hard to focus without motion though it dampens very quickly. Got up this morning to try Jupiter and Saturn. Very good with 9mm(banding on both and Cassini division real clear). Split the double double with 9mm and barlow. Interesting how the 9mm outperforms my old Jaegers 6mm ortho. Overall its what I expected from Stellarvue's reputation for quality optics.
