SkyWatcher Dual Axis Drives & controler
I agree with the earlier comment that these will hesitate when you change direction. I don't think, however, that the 8x slew speed is much a problem, as these are motors are designed for making small corrections, not for slewing across the sky. For that, it is much easier to just unlock the axis and move the scope to the general direction of the object you wish to see.

The really nice thing about these motors is that they track very accurately with no vibration (assuming good polar alignment, of course!) I have used mine at powers around 600x, and it has steadily tracked the object for hours at a time, with no drift at all.

The motors are a great value for their performance.

Small stepper motors with a slow max 8x rate and no "pause" for ra so when guideing you have to press reverse which causes a jerk to occur in tracking.

Slight slop in the gears not bad for visual use but must be worked on & shimmed for anything demanding

[Note: Vote moved from description by webmaster]

Dual Axis drives for the SkyWatcher eq4/eq5 mounts, with control paddle and 4-d cell battery pack, comes with 2 shaft extenders and 2 clutches. Motors and paddle look suspiceously like those for the cg5 mount.
Ra runs fulltime at sidreal and 2,4,8x. Dec runs at 2,4,8x. Switchable for North or South hemisphere. Would be nice if it had 32x or faster as well. Two bad bits of design, the DEC motor jack sticks out on a thin bit of PC board and looks easy to break off. Also with the motors mounted one of the dec shafts is about 1/8 inch to long and can hit the RA motor cover.
