This is an adorable series.

Perhaps more "cute" than "good." I wouldn't dare say that SMJ is one of the best animes I ever watched. The characters are not all that interesting -- starting from around Episode 7, they talk and act in exactly the same way you would expect them to. I found it annoying that the creators try to shove their idea of "humor" in the form of Hanagata down the viewers' throat.

But SMJ nevertheless is a cute, adorable anime series. Obviously the plot is its strong suit, as it takes surprising turns episode after episode. I loved going up and down the emotional roller-coaster by the last three episodes, and I must admit that this anime really got me emotional. Many anime series have given me tears, but SMJ is the only anime that ever gave me a heartache.

This anime probably deserves an 8, but since I liked it personally, I'll give an extra point for the likability.

I really liked this anime. It had a nice storyline, and also a few episodes where they just were having fun, something I often miss other great, such as Evangelion. Lime's really cute (Megumi Hayashibara - I like!), Hanagata's soo funny too!

I think there were only two things that I didn't love in this anime, those being Cherry, who is too sweet and nice for me, and the Saber Dolls chests (IMHO, I don't think it's attractive when they are that big =P ).

The series goes like this:

SMJ TV -> SMJ Again -> Saber Marionette X -> Saber Marionette R (I think)

This was the best anime series I have ever seen. Me and a bunch of my friends watched it last night and this morning, every single episode. I haven't slept in 28 hours. It took us about 14 hours to watch the whole thing but it was worth it. If you have a chance, watch this series!

In my opinion a flawless story. Adorable and hilarious heroines and heroes. Mean nasty villains. But you can even get to like them a little. Sad and touching at times. I cry every time Lime doesn't want her heart any more. Maybe Mr. Scrooge who wrote previously needs an Otome circuit. Many long series start to recycle parts of the story, but this doesn't. It just gets better and better. I agree about Hayashibara. She is the best. All the va's do a wonderful job though.
And best of all, the new series SMJ Again, continues the quality. The villains take on an uproariously funny turn. And a new Marionette comes on the scene. And more crying. There is also a seperate video, Saber Marionette R, which is more violent and looks different. Cute characters, but serious. Hooray to whoever cooked up this marvelous story. 10+.

i love the story line, i love the scene and the comedy. maybe you people out there should watch this great movie in Japanese dialogue, trust me if you watch this movie in english dubbed , it sucks. first of all megumi hayashibara is the voice actor on Lime. she has a very cute voice. and second of all hanagata is the funniest, dummiest character that i ever seen.
