Russell Optics 13mm

I am very impressed with the performance of this EP on my 8"SCT. The clarity and FOV rivals that of my TV 13mm Nagler Type-6. In fact the Nagler only just beats the EP in FOV, but the Russell, has better contrast and definition IMO. The image of a plannet seems slighterly larger in the Russell. But the Nagler cost $300 and the Russell cost $80, that is a hell of a difference! On of it all the Russell is a 2". I would give it a 10 for everything, but very few EP's deserve. Nothing is really perfect.
I have a 17-24mm 2" Zoom EP by Russell that I love as well. Too bad he doesn't make those anymore, they are a great EP.

Russell Optics 13mm

Great bargain for a 2" eyepiece. Gave this one a 8 due to some loss of brightness and slightly loss of edge clarity, but for an $85 2" I would still definatley buy again. I have several other eyepieces from Russell Optics and have enjoyed them just a tad bit better than this one. Others have found this one to be there favorite piece from Gary so maybe mine is just an exception. Don't get me wrong I like it enough that I don't plan on replacing it soon!
