Truly awesome charaterization, with an amazing plot. The movies go into depth about the Ronins feelings about having to BE samuri troopers.
It's an amazing series, and though much of the information you'd get from longer series is left out, it still leaves plenty of room for interperatation, which is always a good thing for fanfics. n_n
What a great show.

The characters are human and their personalites/design pull you into the story. This show reminds me heavily of the animé I watched when i was a kid! Is it wrong that I like this show more than DBZ or Sailor Moon? (And, uh, it has nothing to do with how hot Anubis and Sage are! Nothing! Okay, maybe a little...*smacks herself*) The animation is also very good (especially for 80s stuff!) and inspires me. This show really brought me into a renewed animé kick!

the ronin warriors remind me of when I was in boot camp in the marines.
they never give up,the have all the courage in the world,they stand by each others side no matter what and are willing to sacrifice thier lives for each other,and most of all...just like a marine...they like to kick some f*ckin ass

I love this anime, but I have to agree with a suggestion from someone else on here. It should be remade, that would rule! The characters are believable, although my faves would have to be Touma, Seiji and Shin (Rowen Sage and Cye.) Shuten too, he's cool. (Anubis). Actually, I think someone should start a poll, or maybe we should pester a company to remake YST (RW) I'd love to see them in a higher quality anime. (Yes, it was very good for it's time but 20 years later it just dun give the same effect :)) As long as they didn't try to overdo it like with Voltron. I prefer nice animation over cheap 3D anyday!

BLARGH! This anime sucked! Lame! No bishounen whatsoever! No jokes were funny! No super deformers! No CHICHIRI! ;_; Aino is very depressed and doesn't like show. Aino is going to watch Fushigi Yuugi and be happy again.
