Rini Optics RKE 52mm
I bought mine from Surplus shed as one of a set of Rini eyepieces.
The 52mm RKE is solidly made and provides bright crisp wide-field views of the sky. Like others in his range it has no filter thread. I've only marked this down to a 6 because of the typically crude build quality but it really works fairly well. The eye relief is very long and you have to spend some time with this eyepiece to get the best out of it. I like it. It is far from perfect but has more good points than bad ones. Mine has a couple of minor chips in the eye lens near the outer edge but these don't interfere in any way with the performance. I wish department store scopes came with eyepieces of this calibre instead of the trashy cheap oculars supplied with the vast majority.

Rini Optics RKE 52mm
I bought this eyepiece in May 98. used it in a large Dob. fl. is 2000,which gave it 38x, a little over 3/4 degree. It is bright ,flat and sharp to the edge. You can see both M81 and M82 in the same field. In pleides you can see the main 6 stars in the field,(upside down). Also on Oct.4th98, at four thirty in the morning Pacific time, Jupiter and the full Moon were in the same field of view! At a star party, everybody liked it. The low power shows a lot of stars, great for big ojects.Worth finding.
