Description:This is a 6 element eyepiece with a 2 element barlow threaded into the bottom. Without the barlow it has a 28.5mm focal length. Thread in the barlow and it becomes an 11.2 mm eyepiece. It has very good eye relief and gives good images on both planetary and deep sky objects.

I gave this an 8 on Optics, because it is not multicoated. It is very sharp though and does a good job on lunar and planetary targets. It is also a good globular cluster buster with plenty of eye relief.

I like to use it on my 8"SCT to collimate also. It has an incredible field of view and high power with all of 20mm of eye relief.

If you unscrew the bottom barlow it becomes a 28.5mm 6 element eyepiece. It probably should not be used in the 28.5mm mode below f 7. With the barlow in place on the bottom it becomes a Nagler like eyepiece that is 11.2mm and sharp to the edge in any scope. A steal if you can find one. Paul Rini is no longer making eyepieces.
