Good ep, view is contrasty, sharp till the edge.At least as good as the 5 mm. Eye relief tight but reasonable and far better then a 6.3 mm Kellner i own.Good on the moon, planets and globs.

I own this eyepiece and have used it in an 8" f6 newt, 6" f8 newt, 4" f8 apo, and a 4" f12.7 mct. I have found that occasions for this much magnification are very rare! The eye relief is so tight that it dews over constantly. I have also noticed alot of internal reflection in my particular sample. The narrow field of view is easier to put up with on an equatorial mount. I find it to tiring to use with a dob. I think a 7mm ep and a good barlow is a more pleasing alternative.

I use a 8" f/6 reflector. The view of Jupiter with this eyepiece is very, very good. Multiple bands, and coloration in both the north and south polar regions. Eye relief is fine without glasses. I compared this to a 4mm no name ortho that I have and this eyepiece is it's equal.

I also have the 5mm and it is as good.
