Good optics, Great price. Tripod a little too tall for long tube but mount very stable. A little heavy and unwieldy to move inside and out often. Highly recommended

Views in this optical tube are very impressed.
Very sharp and contrasty views when well collimated.
The views of Jupiter and planets are great.
I agree with an other post than it give more pleasant views
than many SCT.
This is my winter scope due to his low cool down time.

This scope gave some great lunar views and with Saturn, ring divisions are easily seen and overall very pleasing. Views of Jupiter, being brighter, never seemed to be great, perhaps due to light scatter from the four vane spider making the image hazy and unsharp. Vibration times on the Skyview Pro mount were good - around 1-1.5 seconds. The focuser was also smooth, but it will NOT focus inward enough to allow prime focus photography. The tube is of a thin metal and is easily dented.
Overall a nice scope, for visual use..just be careful not to dent the tube taking it outside. This is a big package, just be sure you really want to set up a scope with a four foot long tube, along with the mount that is rather heavy with both counterweights and constantly loosening and tightening the tube rings to get the eyepiece into a comfortable position. I moved on to something more easy to manage. Overall a good value, though.

Bought the optical tube only. Put it on a Bogen 3058 and a unistar deluxe. Very impressed. It's very sharp with very good contrast. I collimated it as close as I can. It takes high power really good with excellent results. I've used it just a few times so far, but I think I'm going to prefer it to my 8 inch SCT. It just gives a better image. Low and medium power views are better than my FS-78. I think that I will keep this one
