Very nice scope for viewing the moon, saturn, jupiter. I am not able to see Mars all that well. It seems to have not detail of Mars.

This is a great planetary scope with little violet fringing on only the brightest objects, which can be sufficiently dealt with using a minus violet filter. I've seen great detail on Mars, Jupiter and Saturn and it's an awesome scope for Moon watchers too. I've also seen good detail in deepsky objects such as M13, M42 and M7. Really a very good scope for the money.

I love this scope for planets, the Moon and globular clusters. Very good optics and performance for this price.

I'm not an experienced observer, but I was impressed with this scope. Images were sharp, and the mount was quite solid.

Star tests looked good to my eye. I could split both pairs in the double-double at 110x, under sub-optimal conditions.

For what the opinion's worth.

Great scope for the money. I got mine about 2 months ago and I am very impressed. $299 for a 90mm good quality refractor on a decent mount.

I got some very sharp views of Jupiter at 100X (9mm plossl). Pushed it to 200X with an Orion ultrascopic (3 element) barlow and while I didn't get any more detail, I didn't lose much either, the scale was just bigger and a tad dimmer. Not nearly as much false color as I thought I would get from an f10 doublet.

It seems to perform quite well for the price. Similar diffraction rings on both sides of focus up to 180x or so. Some jigglies while focusing... Wind does not move scope.
