I actually have the 8" Orion Europa f6 which is an excellent scope for deep sky, and pretty good for planetary. Once it has cooled, the mirror provides very sharp and detailed images of clusters, nebulae and galaxies, even from my fairly light polluted location. The GEM mount with dual axis drives tracks well, but I have to polar align each time as the scope is stored indoors - which is a pain. My only gripe is the size and weight - the tube is 1.2m long. Im now looking for an additional smaller scope such as a wide field refractor for those 'quick peek' observing sessions.
