Orion Observer 50mm
I was able to get a decent field of view with this eyepiece, that is, except for a bad kidney beaning problem. I seem to have a big problem with eye relief, if I didn't get my eye centered perfectly, I had that big blackout problem. I would probably tell people who are intrested in this eyepiece to try it first before they buy.

Orion Observer 50mm
I paid my $99 and gave it a try. Cheap lenses (surplus binocular objectives?) thrown together in a big housing. Plenty of astigmatism and coma with an f/10 scope! This eyepiece is pure crappola. Orion refunded my money with no questions asked.

Get the Omcon 52mm Erfle instead. It's only about $110 (US) and, unlike this turkey from Orion, it actually works!
