Orion Lanthanum Superwide 8
I picked this up from a sale at Orion for around $130.00. I have been able to use it a few times at both f/6 and f/4.7. It is great. I tried it on a range of objects from M31, to a comet, to he double double. Each time its performance was on target. No problems with CA at the edge. I ran it along side a 7mm Ortho and a 7mm Seibert. It clearly out performed the Seibert. Image wise it appeared to keep up with the Otho...and of course, it had a much better fov than the Ortho.

Orion Lanthanum Superwide 8
Purchased my 8mm Orion Lanthanum Superwide ep recently from 'Island Eyepiece+Telescope' up in Canada.Had to wait a few weeks since purchase to test it and was rewarded with spectacular views.Excellent contrast and a flat sharp field right to edge at 75 power with my 120 f/5 refractor. No blackout and very little lateral colour with good eye relief.Double Cluster is viewed showing both clusters sharp right across the field and do to the ep having very good contrast faint stars in both clusters were clearly evident even from a light polluted observing location.Saturn at 75 power was very sharp with Cassini's division easily observed.M35 took up a large part of the very crisp field of pinpoint stars. From a dark site this eyepiece is going to give amazing high contrast views. This was money well spent. An excellent choice for a 8mm wide field eyepiece.

Orion Lanthanum Superwide 8
So far I have only used this on my Orion 8" f4, which should provide a test, since the mirror is fast. No problems with having a flat field and pinpoint stars, even to the edge. Albireo resolves into poetic beauty, with perfect points of light and correct colors. Have used this on the moon with awesome results. It even accepts the Orion Shorty Apochromatic 2X barlow well, with no apparent degradation in performance. I also have the 22 mm version, and love it very much. I am expecting arrival of a 16" dob f5, and can't wait to use these two as my main eyepieces. Gave value at 8 only because of the high dollars and weight. Love the 20mm eye relief and quality feel. This is money well spent.
