Orion Lanthanum Superwide 13mm

With the recent purchase of a Orion 13mm Superwide I now have the complete set that i've been after. I have the 22,17,13,8 and 5 mm superwides. I love these eps they never disappoint in whatever scope you use them with. Sharp to the edge with good contrast and construction. The 13mm is just like the rest in this fine Vixen made line one very nice ep. To bad Orion had discontinued most of the eps from this line. Whole set of this ep line only available now from Vixen.

Orion Lanthanum Superwide 13mm

An excellent eyepiece. On my VX 120mm refractor, views are sharp to the edge. I've heard reports of scatter with these eyepieces but I don't see any. 6 moons of Saturn with this including one that was right of the edge of the rings. Eyerelief is perfect and overall, a very comfortable eyepiece to use. I will be adding more from this series.

Orion Lanthanum Superwide 13mm

I've had the 13 mm superwide for a year now and I found it to be a very well made eyepiece. Images are sharp to the edge in my 8-inch F/6 dob and it's nice to look at. The eyepiece has just the right amount of eye relief (20 mm) to take in the whole 67 degree view. The eyepiece is a bit heavy so you will have to adjust balance on your dobsonian.
