Omcon Erfle 35mm
Purchased this Ep used at a recent estate sale of astronomy equipment.Excellent low power eyepiece for wide field objects like Andromeda,M24,North American Neb etc.. Most of the field is sharp but drops off towards the edge in my f/5 refractor. Sharp to the edge in f/8 and slower scopes.Good construction+contrast has a very solid feel to it.If you come across one of these discontinued 2" Omcon Erfles snap it up.

Got this one used also. Real good for the price of $85. Very good contrast and brightness. The fov is clean and clear to the edge on my 10" f10 sct., no coma or comet tails and in focus. But vignetting is my main reason for only rating an 8. I also have the Antares 32mm erfle w/70* fov and it is bright to the sharp field stop, but only 2/3 usable due to coma. I do wish the Omcon had a rubber guard to aid in placing my eye from the ep. The quality of this discontinued ep is superb. If Sky Instuments would fix the vignetting, put on the rubber eye guard and leave the fov alone they would have a masterpiece. Even as is it is a keeper.

Bought this one used, but a great value at any price. Clear sharp views to the edge of field in my 10" f10 SCT.

A excellent value eyepiece, can give a 35 Panoptic a run for the money in some scopes. Have noticed in some scopes it needs to be used with a diagonal, as it has a long lower barrel and can vignette.

Omcon Erfle 35mm
This is a nice wide FOV 2" EP, no kidney beaning with this EP, had a 32mm 11/4" plossl from Orion that was terible to look threw but this EP is in a dfferent class. Using it on a Skywatcher 6" F8 refractor (same as CR150HD} and in this EP the FOV looks like its 3 times the size over a standard 26mm Olossl and very little comet tails except for the very edge. Excellent contrast, sharpness, eye releif and great for spotting deep sky objects without using the finder. Purchased from Hands on Optics for just ubder $100 and for this price I haven't seen anything look this good! Recomended!
