I ordered a Sony Str-Da50es in January. It was out of stock. I waited and kept calling for order status and they said I would receive it in the next shipment. They said I was #31 on the list in MARCH. Now its April and I called last week and they said I'm #79 in line. What kind of crap is this? I've waited over 2 months for a product and haven't received it. I cancelled my order yesterday.

Ordered the SONY STR-DA50ES on a Wed at Noon, Jim said it would ship that day and I would rec in 2 to 3 days..... UPS tried to deliver after 5pm on FRIDAY but we missed each other.....

Unit delivered that Monday, New box etc... all equipment in good shape....

Polite, On time and VALUE, 50ES was 625 plus 20 Ship........ Will call them again and have seenother reviews and forums where they were well reviewed.

They had the best price I found on the Sony STR-DA555ES. I only dealt with them through e-mail, but they were extremely helpful, and I thought their website was great for single store. (I learned more about the receiver from Oade's website than from Sony's site. The oade.com site includes comparison charts of the ES receiver line, and photos of all the inputs on the front and rear of the receivers.)
It turned out that the STR-DA555ES was backordered, and I was able to find a store in town (New York) that would match Oade's price (although the local store at first didn't believe that I had found an authorized dealer who would charge so little). I ended up purchasing the unit from the local store, and I actually feel a little guilty. (The sales "help" at the local store {S&S Sound in NYC} was much less pleasant to deal with.)
So, although I was too impatient to actually order a backordered product from them, my dealings with Oade Bros were very positive, and I'll speak to them first when I decide to buy something else.
