Description:Waterproof. These binoculars are very easy to focus, even without glasses for someone with very weak vision like me -- there is much more focus range in these binoculars than in any other I have ever tested or owned (with a left eye at -6.5 diopters and a right eye at -4.0, I find it impossible to focus many other highly-rated and more expensive binoculars at infinity without my glasses on). Compact and light, great binoculars for hiking/canoeing/cycling (waterproofing a bonus for wet weather), though a bit dim for star-gazing due to small 3.1 exit pupil. Not the greatest for glasses-on viewing, due to small exit pupil and relatively small-diameter eyepiece, you lose a bit of the field with glasses on. Very sharp, clean image in the centre, becoming softer near the edge of the field.

A great pair of binos for any outdoor activities. Very clear and sharp images and they have good edge to edge sharpness. They are very easy on the eyes. I've used them all day long with no real eyestrain. They have a nice weight to them too. They're not to heavy and they're not to light. Overall they're just a great pair of binos and it's easy to forget that you're looking through a 25mm objective.

These are excellent for most outdoor activities: birding, hunting, camping, hiking, football/baseball games, concerts, you name it. The optics are very good and the mechanics are well done. A bit on the heavy side for compacts, but not tiring to carry for extended periods, as the neck strap is comfortable. You expect quality from Nikon and these will not disappoint. Edge sharpness is good, with no apparent chromatic aberration in daytime use. The objective lenses are simply too small (25mm) for astronomy use at night for anything other than gazing at the moon. A great bino for travelers who need good optics and reasonable magnification in a compact package.

These are roof-prism binoculars; sorry, I forget to mention that when I created the new entry.
