Neon Genesis Evangelion: End Of Evangelion
First of all, Evangelion as an entity of 24 eps and the EoE is the best entertainment in the universe. I myself especially enjoyed the movie for being an masterpiece of intellectual art. And it had the best ending ever. And I don't like to hear or read any "world that Shinji made for him and Asuka" or "Asuka was a fusion of Asuka, Misato and Rei in the end scene". Shinji only had to choose between the merging of humanity and the world where he had lived in. He didn't create anything, he just wanted the world with emotions and AT fields back and as Yui (or was it Rei?) said everyone could come back, and for our luck, Asuka did come back. And don't complain about the masturbation scene. It's meant to be shocking, but it also reflects the vast amount of desire Shinji has for Asuka. My friend after seeing the movie said to me that it concentrated too much on Shinji's feelings and left Asuka out until the ending. Well, the ending itself is a masterwork too. Shinji choking Asuka because he thought that she hated him and through that, all the pain caused that day was her fault, but then she expressed her feelings by caressing his cheek lovingly. And then Shinji stopped and realized that he had been wrong and starts to cry as an apology. And the "I feel sick" was a nice finishing line. Not just clicheous "I love you" or something like that, but instead she complained about her physical shape. And I've heard that it was Anno's opinion about giving Asuka and Shinji a happy ending... bloody bastard. And Unit 01 didn't swallow Gendo, it was that "Rei turns to someone you love"-thing, and Gendo loved Yui whose soul was inside Unit 01. But please don't trouble your head with the fate of Asuka inside Unit 02. It doesn't really matter did she die or not in the hands of Eva Series, because everyone dies when Third Impact commences and she's alive with Shinji in the end. Unit 02 died, sad though. It was a real cool mech. And Rei fans don't need to complain about that Shinji chose Asuka, cause Rei did do something important to both of them. Without her words inside Shinji's head, he would not have been able to be with Asuka for his ridiculous beliefs of her feelings. Rei shoveled long awaited spine up to Shinji's ass. And he needed that. But nonetheless, Evangelion is the best anime ever.

My god this had to be the worst film i've ever seen.The series was not that much better either but at least it was better than this crap.
A shit end, a shit story line and quite frankly it was shit.

It has great animation but the charactors were pretty disappointing. Asuka's a bitch and Shinji's a dork.the ending to the series really sucked too

Best movie ever. The story and the characters, the music, everything about this movie I love. Some very disturbing stuff, however, especially when Asuka is fighting the Evas. It is sad to see some good characters go (MISATO! NOOOOOOO!!! YOU WERE THE BEST!) but it wraps up the show quite good. Any fan of Eva should see this movie (i've seen it ten times at least)

the ending: (SPOILER!!!!)

fuyutzki said it himself. it was up to shinji to decide the future. what he wanted was Asuka. he said it himself, sitting next to her at her hospital bed. all he wanted was for her to accept him, so he created a world for the two of them.

interpret it how you like... i would rather have seen all of humanity evolved into complementation, but ah well. fuck it.

This movie was one of the best anime movies I've seen. It has great action, drama and the animation. The songs on it are cool. I reckon that the drama in the story is the best in the movie. Without it this movie would hane been a rating of 7/10.
