Alright...i'm gonna show my age here. Have any of you seen Warriors Of the Wind?
The old english translation from about 15 years ago? I used to watch
that and Animalimpics when i was a wee bitch on HBO. I got hooked on
Nausicaa then and i was still hooked on Nausicaa when i got my first
Fansub copy of it a few months ago. For 15 years i would have given
this movie a 10 out of 10, and that was the crappy dub that also happens to have some of the more important parts of the plot hacked out.
Now that i've seen the full version with japanese names and voices and
in full Miyazaki-Scope (as my friends call it) i wish i could give it a 15 out of 10 on this rating scale...if only to cover the 3 that one jack@$$ voted above.
For any of you who read Animage (japanese import anime magazine) you know that they do the top 40 anime charachters list every month.
Let me just say that there's a reason that Nausicaa herself has never lost her spot in the topc 20. In fact i have the Nov99 issue in front of me, and she's still #10 decades after her movie. 'nuff said

One of THE best anime, no matter how old it is it is still one of the best. A classic to the genre. The animation was beautiful and the story goes around at a nice tempo until it pieces itself to gether at the end.

This movie is really cool! I remember that I saw it when I'm little. Even though that is an old movie, but if you watch it now or a few years later, you'll still love it so much! Because not only the drawing is good, the idea and the songe are awesome too!!!

Nausicaa is a charming film to say the least. While it does not nearly compare with Miyazaki's latest work: Mononoke Hime, it is nevertheless a masterpiece in itself. Beautifully drawn and presented, it is a wondrous film that will engage many. Few should miss it.

One of the all time best animes, great animation, awesome action, and a story that makes you think about the state of the world in the future and well comon 3 story high bugs are just COOL! and when Asbel crashed in the jungle and got chased by the little Beetly bugs? the best part of the movie, the beetly bugs are my mascots ;P
