My Dear Marie
One of my most favorite. If I can only lend one to someone who hasn't seen anime, this is one of the top choices. When I bought it, I thought it would be a simple robot, nudity, dumb scientist.

This has feeling. And it is funny. And I like Hibiki. And I get choked up at the end of the second episode.

The characters are really drawn differently, but it grows on you.

My Dear Marie manages to be humorous and touching at the same time. It starts a little slow, but by the end you realize it's definitely worth watching again.

The animation is a little sparse for my taste, hence the 9, but effort has obviously gone into the writing.
