Description:This company is formerly known as "Videoshopper" and "Video Premiere."

My story: I ordered 3 video tapes from them in July of 1999. I cancelled the order in August because I never received any of the videos. Now, 5 months later, I still have not received my refund of $60.78. I have reported them to the Boston Better Business Bureau twice (once as "video premiere" and once as "movie saver") I'm very sorry to learn that many other people have been deceived by this company. They are frauds and have to be stopped.

movie saver .com and their other aliases are crooks!!! they screwed my poor little boy out of the only thing he wanted for x-mas. i never recieved a refund or my product. these people are PREDATORS!!!!! anyone that would take advantage of a child doesn't deserve to be around to exist, much less make a living. Sorry that is just how i feel. oh and by the way.....they were my first online order ever, and because of them they will be my last. other reputable companies shouldn't have to put up with crooks ruining possible future business for them!!! do something about it!!!!!!!

Movie Saver
By now we have established that this company is BAD. Even worse is the fact that Warner Brothers and other major companies appear to have at one time advertised Moviesaver and associated names because I have found old banners in these websites' archives. Moviesaver is also STILL trying to get advertising on e-commerce sites so always be on the lookout and get them kicked off those sites!!

All victims of Moviesaver, Videopremiere, etc. should hopefully report their negative experiences here:
https://www.ifccfbi.gov/
It is the web address of the FBI's Internet Fraud Complaint Center and right about now it is the victims' ONLY HOPE in getting this scam offline, because the Massachusetts Attorney General Office WILL NOT investigate this scam, despite the fact that many big-time corporations have also been ripped off besides the average citizen.....This scam is only getting worse, and the people behind Moviesaver.com have two new websites (I looked it up myself and these domain names are registered to the same "dummy" address and corporation)!! I have not figured out what these two new websites are "up to" yet but you better believe there is a scam involved somewhere!

VIEW-MOVIESAVER.COM
SCREEN-MOVIESAVER.COM

And yes, DVDSHOPPERS.COM is also registered to the same company DADA Corporation and to the same, fake address.

Also the Better Business Bureau Boston Database lists a new address in Walpole, MA.

And you can read about Moviesaver's debut in the news-media below:
--------------------------------------------------
Excerpt from PC WORLD, June 2000:

Heads Up...

Moviesaver:com Update: Last December, we reported on a reader who was overcharged $100 by Moviesaver.com, a Web site that sells videos and DVDs. Since then, I've heard from more readers who say they have been similarly burned by Moviesaver com and Shoppershand.com, an affiliated site. My e-mails to both sites went unanswered, and phone numbers listed on the sites weren't functioning. However, at press time, both sites were still taking orders. Buyer beware...
-------------------------------------------------------
Excerpt from PC WORLD, December 1999:

JIMMY BOY DIAL of Chesapeake, Virginia, writes describing a problem that I've been hearing a lot lately. He ordered a DVD movie for $14 from a Web site he wasn't familiar with. The risk was low, because the price was low, so he gave it a try. Dial received his shipment, and at first all seemed well. But the next month a charge for $114 appeared on his credit card statement from that Web site, Moviesaver.com. When he tried to contact the company, he noticed that the site was gone.

He'll never know if the charge was an accident or a shrewd mugging, but Dial did the right thing: He immediately contacted his credit card company and disputed the bill.

According to Susan Grant, director of the Intemet Fraud Watch (www. fraud.com), "We did a survey on consumers' experiences in e-commerce, and one of the problems people encounter is getting charged [for things] they never authorized or getting overcharged on their credit card bills."

Grant advises Net shoppers to review their statements carefully. If two people use one account, both should study the statement as soon as it arrives. "Fortunately, federal law protects you from responsibility for unauthorized charges," she says. "If you notify your credit card company right away of unauthorized charges, it's unlikely that you'll have to pay them." But it's still up to you to police your statement in a timely fashion. Find details about the law in the Consumer Resource Handbook, available at www.pueblo.gsa.gov.

Movie Saver
A total scam~~BEWARE!!!!!.

Ordered one movie in 12/98, got charged 3 times for it, never received the movie or my refund. My credit card company only removed one charge--I ended up paying the rest. Later I discovered that the movie I had ordered was out of print, yet it’s still advertised today. Despite various e-mails, phone calls, and letters, no-one from the company responded to me. If you're a new victim, immediately call & write to your credit card company & dispute the charges—you only have a limited time to dispute the charges. Trust me, don’t bother to wait for this company to respond to your requests or to ship your order or to send you a refund—it WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!. Cancel your credit card number & get issued a new one. If enough people report this scam to the right places, then law enforcement will have no choice but to investigate—usually they wait to see if big bucks are involved. Keep all documentation. Here’s where you should report your negative experience with this company:
*your credit card company
*FTC at www.ftc.gov/ftc/knowfraudcomplaint.htm (online complaint form) Please complain here!!
*www.fraud.org (online complaint form). Please complain here!!
*BBB of Boston hasn't worked for me at all, but they also have an online complaint form at www.bbb.org.
*Attorney General's Office in Massachusetts at http://www.ago.state.ma.us/condefault.asp. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download the complaint form. You can download Adobe free at www.adobe.com OR http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.

Movie Saver
Total frauds. Repeatedly abandon the old scam
and start up under a new name.

Current incarnation of scam: ShoppersHand.com
Previous incarnations:
VideoShoppers.com
VideoPremiere.com
MovieSaver.com
MA Attorney General has numerous complaints on each
of these previous scams but has not taken action.
BBB of Boston also shows numerous complaints.

In January 2000 they had left exposed on their web
site their entire customer list containing credit
card numbers, expiration dates, e-mail addresses,
phone numbers, videos ordered, etc, for over
10,000 customer records!

Newsgroup posts show numerous additional first-hand
accounts of people defrauded by these scammers.

Movie Saver
I ordered from moviesaver.com in September1999 and now it is August2000 and I still have not recieved my movie or a refund, which I never will. I was able to contact the company several times and tried to cancel my order but they never did. They did try to bill me $115 for a $12 movie but fortunately with the help of my credit card company I was refunded $103 of that money, but I still had to pay for the movie.
