In my opinion Monster Rancher surpasses Digimon and Pokemon in plot,animation and characters.The plot is more serious than either of the other two animes and the characters are unique in their own way and besides it just rocks.

I like it but itz not my FAV. anime. But I won't say it suckz even though itz not the BEST anime. It's good for a watch and any1 who badmouths it is jest immature. I mean it won't help much really except make u look bad.

I was really surprised by how shitty the animation and drawing style is. At first, I thought the show was made by Americans trying to do an anime-style cartoon, and failing miserably. That's how bad the animation was in my opinion. Not to mention a shitty storyline and a bunch of idiotic characters (the main character is obviously a rip-off variation of Pokemon's Ash Ketchum) and unappealing monsters. Rip-off shows like this make me wanna cringe. This thing makes Pokemon look like a masterpiece in comparison, and even Pokemon isn't that great.
