Rumiko Takahashi can do everything. She creates three really long animes series and still have time to create something as good as this? I'm really impressed by this effort by Viz Video. Great job. Just saw Laughing Target, and it is also good.

Although the 50 minutes was a bit short, I found the movie a fantastic twisted tale of the downside of eternal life. Slightly depressing and suprisingly violent given the nature of the villain, it ended on a note of hope giving the film an all around good feel. I absolutely loved it. The animation was wonderful and the characters some of the best, most real yet. I constantly search the web for pictures of them! One found yet! ^_^

This is a great twist to the usual style of Takahashi. It was scary and an interesting storyline and plot twist. The animation is very beautiful indeed.

kick ass movie but wish Yuta and Mana had more fighting abilities like in more of the anime i've seen. Also very depressing and sad. But kick ass!!!!

Just goes to show Rumiko Takahashi can do more than just romance-comedies (she can do anything she damn well pleases!). This is grisly horror, while at the same time not focusing too much on gore. I'm only a few pages into the manga, and it's already got alot more to it, though.

A very disturbing film. It is done very well, and the villain is shockingly nonchalant regarding brutal torture and killing people. However, the film does end a bit too abruptly, and is a bit anticlimactic for my tastes. Nevertheless, it is a brilliantly done piece of anime entertainment. Could you expect any less from Rumiko Takahashi?

Mermaid's scar is simply the best of all. It's so full of action and drama that I was sitting at the edge of my seat during almost all of the movie.
