Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
A worthy complement to my expensive 2" eyepieces used on my f/5.5 scope. I only use this to produce the widest possible field in my f/13.5 Makstov. The image quality is excellent in the Mak and doesn't degrade noticably until you are very near the edge, which is an unlikely place toexamine star images. To produce a 12mm eyepiece, I also use this with a Barlow, which works wonderfully. No vignetting or color distortion is noticable in the f/13.5 Mak. Just for a lark, I substituted this for my 22mm Nagler in my f/5.5 scope, and it did creditably well, though the star images fell apart beyond 50% of the field. A superb eyepiece for longer focal lengths and 1-1/4" focusers. Recommended.

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
This a decent eyepiece for those looking for a cheap wide field. Works very well in my G5 f/10 but is quite poor in my 10" f/4.5 dob. Views through the dob show considerable coma in 50% of the field; obviously the eyepiece cannot handle the steep light cone. But I purchased the eyepiece to serve as a inexpensive widefield and for that it has performed admirably. This use was of particularly importance in the G5 as it only takes 1 1/4" eyepieces. Contrast is good, as is eye relief. For those looking for pinpoint stars in fast scopes, however, I would suggest you look elsewhere.

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
I have used this eyepiece in f/4.5 dobsonians only and my friends keep telling me over and over again what a great eyepiece this is. During star parties is seldom use it because I always end up borrowing it. I does show some distortions over the edge of the field of view, but when used with a coma corrector (I own a Celestron model) the image quality across the entire field of view is excellent and extremely sharp.

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
I bought this eyepiece for my fast (f/ 4.5)Dobs 8” and 10” (Japanese version). It has an acceptable eye relief, good contrast, and no color distortion. The image is good to 60% of the field, after that it shows large amount of coma, and the edge shows images out of focus respect to the center. The eyepiece has very nice wide field, but is not usable unless you barlow it or you have a slow scope. So, for a little bit more money there are better wide field eyepieces out in the market. Maybe the new series 5000 has already corrected these problems.

I love this eyepiece.

Reasonably priced, excellent contrast and brightness. Field correction is good, but not great at f:4.8. Not as bad the 24.7 mm Speers Waller, by the way. Highly recommended.

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
The 24.5mm Superwide seems to find its way into my diagonal for most of the night, despite some bad edge performance in my 4" f/10 vixen refractor. The view is just so wide and comfortable to hold that it will get alot of use. I think I overlook the edge performance because the on-axis performance is so good and eye relief great. Have also used the 18mm, which is a little better on optically. Great value if you can pick them up used!

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
This ep works better in my f6.4 100mm refractor than in my f4.5 Dob. Much edge distortion and a slight amount of chromic aboration. So if you are looking for a good wide field ep for a longer fl refractor give this ep a look. For a little more money look at what tele view has. There are better ep's in my opinion.

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
Great 1.25" eyepiece with the maximum possible field of view with a good magnification. Just comfortable with eyeglasses (a little more than the 22 Panoptic). Not as sharp at the edges as some of the competitors, but less distorted than most of the competitors.

Meade Super Wide Angle 24.5mm
I have a 8 inch, F6 Dob. This is eyepiece works beautifully as my standard eye piece. It is well made, nice field of view with crisp, clean and clear bright images to the edge. For a 1.25 inch diameter eye piece I could not ask for much more.
