Meade Super Plossl 6.4mm
This is a resubmission from a previous vote - before I registered. The 6.4mm gives bright transmission, contrast is very good, and is quite sharp to the edges in my f/8 telescope. This is one of my primary eyepieces for resolving close difficult double stars. Faults? Eye relief is short and on very bright objects you can see reflections from your eyeball dancing around the image.

Meade Super Plossl 6.4mm
i give this a 5 because when i look at saturn on a steady night it can look very nice, seems good on planets and moon.
however for single/double stars its either faulty or rubbish, im no expert but as it shows the planets well with no apparent faults i can only put this down to bad optics for the stars, try splitting castor, the abberation flares out to conceal the other star,
i got the meade 4000 eyepiece set and all peices from 40mm down are fine except 12.4, 9.7 and 6.4 yet again not on planets and moon but on close double stars.....rubbish

ok excuse my rantings, ive been told by many people in the know that its my telescope that has not the best optics and i should wait till i get a better optical scope before judjing the eyepieces, so forget the "rubbish" comment

Not as sharp as my clavé 8mm but it is still a very good eyepiece.

Meade Super Plossl 6.4mm
A fine eyepiece - bright, terrific contrast, quite sharp to the edges. Close difficult double stars like Epsilon Bootis and Rigel are easily resolved with this ocular in my 4.5" 900mm f.l. scope. Faults? Eye relief is short and on very bright objects you can see reflections from your eyeball dancing around the image.

Meade Super Plossl 6.4mm
I JUST BOUGHT ONE TO ADD TO MY COLLECTION BECAUSE I HAVE ACCUIRED A COUPLE OF
REFRACTORS WHOSE FL IS SHORTER THAN MY SCT. IT GAVE SHARP, CONTRASTY VIEWS
BUT I REALLY HAD TO GET IN CLOSE TO SEE THE ENTIRE FOV. AS FOR THE COMMENT
ABOUT DEVELOPING A RATTLE, I'VE HAD CELESTRONS AND MEADES DO THIS. JUST UNSCREW
THE CHROME PART AND CAREFULLY TIGHTEN THE RING INSIDE NEXT TO THE LENS. THE
REASON I GAVE IT AN EIGHT INSTEAD OF A TEN IS THE EYE RELIEF. THIS ASIDE IT
IS A VERY GOOD EP

This is a a very outstanding eyepiece. I have compared mine
with a Celeston 7.5 Ultima and found the views to be
more sharper and brighter than the Ultima.

Eye relief is a bit low - you really need to move in to get the whole field in (would be tough for eyeglass wearers). Once you move in, the field is flat and sharp to the edges with good contrast.
