Meade Super Plossl 20mm
I have owned all but two (15mm & 40mm)of the Meade 4000 series eyepieces. I find this to be the best of the bunch I have owned. Once I spent the better part of a night comparing this eyepiece to a premium 20mm Nagler in my 10" f/10 SCT and at the end of the night I was underwhelmed by the Nagler (considering its price) and extremely impressed with the images this plossl showed in comparison to it. It showed a very flat field to the edge, good eye relief, high contrast images, and at a very reasonable price. Neadless to say the Nagler is a high quality premium eyepiece and has a much wider view but at a hefty price and weight. This 20mm Series 4000 Plossl still goes with me observing right along with all my premium Naglers except for the 20 Nagler which I no longer have.

Meade Super Plossl 20mm
That Meade's SP 20mm made in Japan was superb but the new ones made in Taiwan are just trash and an expensive trash if you buy new.
Get any generic Plossl with this f/l and save more than U$ 40,00 with the same performance.

Meade Super Plossl 20mm
not all of meades equipment strikes me as great, however they do make good mirrors for the price and some eyepieces that are outstanding and this one is no exception. in my f7 brandon stars are clean to the edge and brightness is very good. views of the moon are dazzling as are views of staturn and jupiter. highly recommened. also a stellar performer with barlow.d.w.

Meade Super Plossl 20mm
THE 4000-20 IS AN EXCLLENT MID-POWER FOR MY SCT. IT GIVES EXCLLENT VIEWS AND
I USE IT A LOT WITH MY SCT AS SEEING IS LIMITED TO 100X ON A LOT OF SUMMER
NIGHTS. I LIKE TO USE IT BARLOWED 2X WITH MY SHORTER SCOPES BECAUSE IT GIVES
BETTER EYE RELIEF THAN ONE TWICE AS SMALL.
