Meade Super Plossl 12.4mm
Pretty sharp EP, I can split Draco's u (Alarkis) with this one at a power of only 73x! Few abberations noticeable close to the edge. Used with my Barlow however, I noticed extra reflections here and there (I don't suspect the Barlow, a Celestron Ultima; so disassembling the EP revealed a VERY shinny plastic used for the field stop!) Good contrast, a bit short on eye relief (it's a Plössl!) but still comfortable.
I believe Antares also markets those as Super Plössls, but for some dollars less (a bargain actually). But my Antares SP is a 32mm, too much of a difference to compare and confirm.

Evaluation was done using a 114mm f7.9 Newton, a 200mm f6.0 Dob and a Celestron C80 ED on occasion.

I see the eyepiece being sold on astromart for only 50 dollars. This little eyepiece deserves much more. It's my favorite lower cost eyepiece on my etx-90 as it provides me perfect views of Jupiter and its transiting moons. Excellent value and not one I would sell easily

Nice Plossl-like eyepiece but eye relief is short in this range (just a property of Plossls; not Meade's fault).

Meade Super Plossl 12.4mm
Tried this lens on a short focus apo.
A fine performer, but not quite up to the visual feeling of my Panoptic 15mm or the optical quality of the Ultima 12.5mm.
I feel that the Ultima gives more kick in contrast & sharpness, but only marginally so.

I've had a msp 12.4 for a couple of years now. I use it a lot. I get excellent sharpe, contrasty views and it is still large enough in diameter to use alone on my longer fl scopes and still offers decent eye relief when barlowed on my smaller scopes.

Meade Super Plossl 12.4mm
Very Good eyepiece. Excellent contrast and nice moderately wide field. Sharp to the edge with sharp field stop. Right up there with the TV's and Ultimas. The Meades (and Ultimas) are still made in Japan. NOT the TV's however.
