Not a lot of animes deserve a perfect 10, but certainly this one does.

Maybe a bit to hard for little kids to understand, but arguably the best anime movie of the 90's... satisfies all your needs(1) if you're a mech freak and a fan of carefully designed mecha or (2) if you appreciate literary side of anime and interesting, dynamic characters, or (3) if you're into plot twisting and surprises, or (4) if you're a romance type of anime watcher... (Note: types of viewers NOT listed in the decreasing order of intelligence)

There are some of the better animes out there than this, but undoubtedly an incredible masterpiece.

pretty much the greatest mech movie ever made i love this movie and considering i hate subtitles even i am glad this is not dubbed so i can stand the voices.

It improves on some aspects of the series, and is thus more dramatic. A slightly better variation on the 4-part series whose brevity is an asset.

I lovw the new material, save the hookier "Boy falls in love with Girl" Ending. I wish they'd have kept the original end.

well edited, and with GREAT additional footage. I think it would totaly anihilate the OVA, if it wasn't for it's hammyer, hackneyed ending.
