an ok story, but like all animes should have , it does have unique characters.
a true macross fan would be slightly be disappointed by the story but hey, it is
macross. it also have enough songs in it(Fire Bomber!!!).

I was mostly disappointed with this unworthy successor in the Macross saga. Too bubble-gummy, light-hearted for me. The story line is nowhere near the original Macross. The music pales in comparison to the previous Macross installments. The animation is too simple and bright-coloured. I'd still like to see the movie-version, though. Maybe it'll be a bit more interesting.

Macross 7 is a in a tie with the original Macross series for my favorite anime of all time. This series got me into Japanese music. Fire Bomber could stand on their own. As others have said, keep watching and you WILL get drawn in and lose yourself in the Macross universe. But what a fun trip it is!
Great characters, Great music, Great evolving story with an EXCELLENT ending!
Macross 7 just RULEZ! I wish it were commercially available in the US.
Oh how I wish I could own this series on DVD with Dolby digital sound!

to all those who would say macross 7 suck, you all just dont understand. basara is a hero who has no equal. he is the only one who fights for peace with out using military weapons, just a guitar and his heart. anyways, this series rules and ive never seen anything like it. basara is my hero and he just rules!!!

What the fuck is this shit. I have onley seen the first 20 episodes so far, but i meen to see more of them in hopes that it will get better, but so far I have seen no sighn that it will. The battles seens are cheap, and the songs suck. I get amnoyed every time I see the main charecter jump in his Valkery and sing to the enemy. Persenally it might just be the Marine in me, but it seems to me that missles or bullets would do a better job than thoes speakers he shoots out at the bad guys. In short this is a discrase to the entire Macross seris.

I Love every Macross video ever made, but my favorite has to be Macross7 and besides it has one of my favorite macross character who just happen to Max and his wife. I also like this series better because of the FireBombers.
