Lumicon 50mm R-A Superfinder
Too bad Lumicon is closing down. This was a very nice finder and actually performed as a small richfield refractor on my scope. I used the right angle model and my own diagonal and eyepiece. The 20mm TV Plossl made it alot of fun on the big stuff like the Pleides, Hyandes and Kimble's cascade.

Lumicon 50mm R-A Superfinder
I use this finder on my 6" and my 80mm refractors. After replacing the stock straight-thru finder on the 5" my neckaches were history. I have it mounted in a 3n1 bracket so it sits up on top with the eyepiece angled towards me. I can go from the finder to my viewing eyepiece in just a few inches of movement without moving about the scope to align an object, etc. The finder has a 20mm x-hair eyepiece making it a 10x50. It is sharp, clear and very easy to find object in with a fairly good fov and nice contrast. I am very pleased with this Lumicon finder, so much in fact that the same finder is mounted identically on the SV80. Makes finding objects easy and quick and as stated before, my neck appreciates it also. Anyone owning a large refractor should check out this finder and give your neck a rest. Nicely made and finished and looks great mounted like it is. I may change over the Lumicons 80mm R-A Finder down the road but it is considerably more expensive than the 50mm. Just thinking about it for now.
