The Ultimate Zoomeyepiece.
Very sharp, super contrast and mine slews very
smooth, like a hot knife through butter.
The field of view at 22mm is small but o.k.,
at 7.3mm it is incredibly big (like Panoptic,
but the eyerelief is much better) .
It is not a 10 because you have to refocus after
you zoomed, and the eyerelief ist not the same
in 7.3 like at 22mm, but the Eyeguard has two
click stops, one for 22 and one for 7.3.
A very huge Eyepiece with 1.25 inch adapter.
The Picture shows the eyepiece with 2" barrel.

I have the latest version (10/03) of this zoom lense with great improvements to the zoom mechanism which is now very smooth with just the right feel...also the eyecup now rotates to proper position. Compares favorably to any single focal lenght premium eyepiece and is literally the equivalent to a group of excellent oculars in one easy to use eypiece. The zoom eyepiece for those who swore zooms were too much of a compromise. The only negative is that the FOV narrows quite a bit at 22mm but never feels claustrophobic.

This is best described as the zoom for those who would normally never consider a zoom eyepiece. Sharp and contrasty with beautiful wide views at higher magnifications...although I was surprised that at lower powers I never felt that claustraphobic effect a number of lesser zooms seem to provide. My eyepiece zoom mechanism moves very smoothly.
Just the best available zoom ocular that gets used more than any other eyepiece for my C9.25.

Sharp, high contrast zoom eyepiece. I knocked two points off because they are so difficult to zoom: they require a lot of effort to zoom, as if they were lubricated with thick honey. Otherwise these are the best zoom optics available.
