I too like the scope, good for a beginner (like myself) in the UK it was around 250 pounds sterling. Mine has a Eq2 mount which has been reasonable. The scope has appeared under several different colours Helios, Orion etc all look to be the same scope. Has a biult in barlow/field flatener which you can use as a zoom unit with any standard eyepiece and extension tube (4 1/2 lumicon is mine), big fun! (see Astronomy with Small Telescopes, Stephen F. Tomkin Ed. ISBN 1-85233-629-3 chapter on Orion Shorttube (same scope) for more upgrades ). Things I have altered as well the 5*24 scope has gone, it has a RA motor and it has now a semi-permanent dew cap, as the optical window does love dew. Nice views, easy to use, portable.

This scope seems very good for a beginner but then if I'm a beginner how do I rate it ? All I can say is that the image is clear, Quality is good. Eyepieces supplied are 10mm and 25mm Kellner. The EQ1 mount supplied could be a lot better build quality, but for a budget scope, I think it's great.
