I have had many dealings with Joe Martelli and all were A++++ !!! I am writing this in responce to a website i found where someone called him a thief!! This cant be farther from the truth he is a great audio connection. Brian Koch

I hope to warn others about my experience with this company. I bought a Classe CP-50 preamp advertised as "mint, remote, OBM, dealer demo" from JM Sound. The unit arrived broken (no sound from left channel) and showed such heavy signs of use that it was nowhere near mint. Also tossed in the box was a remote for some other preamp, but not for the CP-50. There are several CP-50 functions that are accessible only from its dedicated remote, and no front panel buttons for them. I complained to JM Sound, and the owner (Joe Martelli) said I didn't need access to those functions, I paid less than full retail so I should be happy with whatever I got, and that he would buy back the unit for about a $300 restocking fee. I also spoke with Classe, who said they sold him 8 "B" stock CP-50's, one of which I got. After several more e-mails, Joe agreed to give me a full refund, and I wrote back to accept. I was forced to pay $42 for return shipping. UPS Tracking showed that JM Sound received and signed for the package 1.5 weeks ago, but subsequently Joe Martelli said he intends to keep both the preamp and all the money I paid ($1,270.00) as a punishment for making trouble and complaining! I'm taking steps to try to recover my money, but in the meantime I warn everyone to avoid this thief!!
