Fine crafted machining and fantastics optical performance. THis scope has a beautiful (and large) focuser, the optics provide some of the best images I've ever seen. This is a great scope!

HT Precision Optics APOMAX
Pin point star images, great planetary detail. Very high quality OTA. Lenses perform great on star test. The focuser and mirror cell are finely machined. Beautiful OTA apperance. Seems that extreme care was taken in the quality of each OTA component. Does seem a little heavy at about 30lbs but this is not an issue if mounted properly. Very nice telescope.

HT Precision Optics APOMAX
The hand craftsmanship exhibited in the final product is breathtaking. Fred Mrozak is a perfectionist and the 5,2" Apomax was nothing short of poetry in motion. From the large 4" focuser to the hand generated triplet cell, all I can say is "wow". For those few out there that are interested in only the finest, the Apomax calls for you, truly a jewel. HT Precision Optics APOMAX
Totally awesome instument, built superbly, Massive 4-in focuser that racks as smooth as butter! focus knobs are massive, and beautfully made. All reducers have tapered slips, with dual locking nylon set-screws. Focuser also has friction and locking screw. Focuser alone weighs 13lbs. i believe. Lens cell is also drop-dead beautiful, also built like a tank, with a solid machined o-ringed dust cover. Fiberglass tube is all internally baffeled as is the focuser. Sky views with this scope are just awesome! Many who have looked through, and who would know say this instrument outperformes many larger competiting refractors. optics design by Dr. Richard Buchroeder, one of the formost optical designers today. When i first saw this instrument i knew i wanted one. The manufacturer stands behind these instruments fully, better i believe than any other. Other instruments of larger aperture made on a custom basis. Truly one fantastic scope! Star-field are razor-sharp, and obsevations on jupiter are the best i have ever personally seen! This scope just begs for magnification. I will definitly consider buy another, perhaps larger instrument from this firm. Yours truly, Mark Dambrosio
