Harry Siebert Optics UltraPlus 22.5mm, 1.25 inch
I just finished watching Io's shadow transit across the face of Jupiter at 120X through a BW-OPTICS binoviewer with a pair of 23mm UltraPlus eps in my Nexstar8.I could easily follow the inky black little dot all the way to the edge of Jupiter.
When it hit the edge of the planet I could still see a spot where part of the edge of the planet was missing. This condition didn't last very long.Saturn doesn't show much at 120x but I could clearly see Cassini's Division and the crepe ring was also present, but the seeing conditions would make it periodically disappear.I also looked at open clusters in Auriga,M36,M37,M38.They were very sharp clear to the edge and wonderfully three dimensional.I was very impressed with the sharpness and contrast the eyepieces had as well as their field of view. The specs have changed, these eyepieces now have a 70degree FOV and a 23mm FL. They also have a lower price at $139.00. The seeing conditions were fast, 120X was the maximum possible and still see detail reliably. The temperature was a balmy 25degrees.
