Harry Siebert Optics Standard 2.9mm
I am new to astronomy and started using the 2.9mm with a Meade ETX60 scope. Saturn and Jupiter are below the horizon at night from my house but I can easily appreciate the quality of this EP when viewing the moon and stars. There is a lot of detail revealed on the moon including peaks and ridges in crater floors and tiny cratelets that difficult to see or are not visible at all with the 9mm Meade. There is no ghosting visible and the resolution seems to be limited to atmospheric conditions only. Being a newbie I have not been able to compare any other EP or barlow combo but I am convinced that this one's a winner. I can't wait to start looking at planets later on in the year.
