Harry Siebert 1.5x-2.5x Variable Barlow
Very, very nice barlow. It is quite heavy though. This barlow is so great. All i have is two eyepieces, a Meade 25mm 3000 plossl and a Harry Siebert 10mm. Those two eyepieces provide me with all variety of powers i need. And the optical quality is just as good as his other eyepieces (thats good, trust me). I definitely recommend doing business with Harry Siebert. He is a very nice guy with superb equipment.

Hola.

Harry Siebert 1.5x-2.5x Variable Barlow
My Siebert variable Barlow is actually a telecentric design, and it has three mag ranges, 2X-3X-4X. It's called a Power Mag Wheel, but it has no listing to post a review, so I placed it here. Harry makes more different Barlows, OCA's, Telecentrics than anybody else out there that I know of. He now has the Power Mag Wheels. He will make to your specification if you call and are willing to wait. It took several months to receive my Power Mag Wheel, but it works as claimed and turns my fast f/4 Newt into a scope that can use classic 2" EP's and remain fairly sharp on edge of field. If you like to use your long classic 2" EP's, but they do not work on your fast Dob, then the PMW will work like a 2" TV Powermate and allow you three different mags. A couple of well chosen EP's are all you need when you have a PMW, and my f/4 Newt now even works with classic 2" 3-element EP's. I think it's better than blowing $350 on a single Panoptic to have a PMW because of the versatility. It fits in a 1.25" focuser but allows use of 2" EP's and their big eye lenses and long eye reliefs. It will also work as an OCA for binoviewers in most cases. It delivers sharp images, but of course there is some loss of contrast because it has 4 elements. Think of the PMW as the first 4 elements in a complex 7-9 element lens. That allows you to use it with a 4-element Konig/Plossl, 5-element Erfle or 3-element wideangle Kellner to good effect on fast scopes that do not alow good results with such classic EP's. Makes more sense for me to use this than sell my classic EP's just to buy a couple of very expensive 2" EP's with internal Barlows.
