Hi All

Agree with comments
Good mount, nothing special though
Focuser good
Finder just ok, some optical inperfections
The optics is where this scope is a winner.
Guan Sheng seem to have found a way to manufacter very good mass producted optics, that leave their rivals for dead

I purchased this scope for deep sky observing. The scope surprised in nearly every area.
I'm mainly a planetary observer, and have two other scopes which deliver amazing images of the planets
My prized scope is a Zambuto / Protostar equiped 8 inch F6.
I also have a Swayze/Protostar equiped 8 inch f6.
The images in the 12, even on the planets, are very good.
On very good nights the scope takes mag up to 300x very well on the planets.
I noticed no softening or contrast reduction what so ever.
Star testing indicate the optics are well corrected, and smooth.
In fact, the star test in my particular scope is very good, with diffraction patterns very similar either side of focus.
The mount is sturdy, and quite easy to move in either direct, but not quite up to the quality offered by the premium scope manufacturers.
I found the 8x50mm finder scope to be fair to good quality
My scope cames with a "Crayford" style focuser (upgrade) which is very good.
Also the primary and secondary cells, including the spider, are of good quality and easy to adjust.
The primary mirror cell, is an open design, similar to the Novak system.
On most nights without the mirror fan, I found the scope took approx an hour to cool to the night air.
In summary I'm quite happy with the mechanics, and very impressed and surprised, by the optics.
