GTO Plossl 6mm
For a cost conscious beginner putting together a wide range of eyepieces, this is a great choice. For $20 it is very sharp and shows good detail. The only problem I had was seeing the entire FOV since the eye relief was so tight. The fact there is no eyecup means you may have difficulty finding your object without shielding the eyepiece area from stray light. Good quality construction overall. I wanted a decent plossl for high power when I got this and I was happy with it. For its value, i'd rate it an 8.

This eyepiece has serious problems with distortion at least 1/3 of the way from the edge. The image is bright however and clear and crisper than i would expect a $20 eyepiece to be at 200X. It may be a good buy if you are not a serious planetary observer but want high power on rare occasions. Otherwise look for something better.

This eyepiece, though only $19.95, gives a VERY sharp image of Venus and other objects with my XT10 Telescope. There is some lateral color, but no more so than with the 9mm Sirius Plossl which came with the XT10. I am extremely pleased with the value I received in buying this from Hans-On Optics!

The image looks ok from what I could tell, but I can't judge that well since the eyepiece was jimmied into the focuser a little crooked just to get an image to test. The barrel is slightly larger than all my other eyepieces and doesn't actually fit into my 1.25" focuser, they made these too big.
