Description:Bought this as a test of the GSO line. Overall impression is nice build & finish, but view in eyepiece is poor to fair.
In my 8" f4.7 Newtonian only the centre 1/4 of field diameter was sharp. The next
2/4 of field came to focus at a different point than the centre area. The outer 1/4
was always fuzzy. I have a 25mm Antares 70 which I was looking to improve upon with the GSO Superview. But the Antares was better ( had 1/2 of field sharp ).

GSO Superview 20mm
I use this eyepiece in an 8 inch f10 Nextstar 8i SE scope. It gives me 100x and a 2mm exit pupil. I paid $34 for this eyepiece. It is very well made and fully multicoated. In my scope, this eyepiece is pinpoint sharp right out to the field stop. It has a 67 degree field. The contrast is very good and it has very good light throughput. Eye relief is excellent.

The previous reviewer had an f 4.7 scope and this eyepiece, like most eyepieces that are not 50 degree plossls, or 82 degree Naglers, do not perform well on edge at below f7.

I frankly do not understand why so many people buy these short focus scopes anyway. If you want to blame something for the poor views, blame the short focus scope. Buy something with a decent Fratio and you will be much happier with the sharper images and much better edge correction.

GSO Superview 20mm
I tried a 20mm GSO superview after using a 15mm and the outer 50% was astigmatic. Terrible eyepiece, the 15mm GSO superview was way better.
