Animation:
Personally, I don't think the animation here is too great. I know a lot of people might disagree with me, but the fact is that the animation quality tends to differ from scene to scene... Which is fine for a series, but bad for a movie.
I won't say much else about it.

Plot:
Now here we have a movie that, while it has a great storyline, is plagued by art and music problems.
The storyline is actually very well-done and keeps you hooked, waiting to see what happens next...
The only problem is that it sometimes keeps you waiting TOO long to see what happens next.
Although a lot of parts at the ending may leave you feeling like something more should have happened, and I could certainly understand that, I didn't have much of a problem with it. Well, except that I don't know what Ran and Aira end up doing after everything's over.
Nonetheless, overall, the show manages to deliver a strong message and provide some deep moments that will have you thinking.

Humor:
It's a serious movie... Little humor to be found here.

Soundtrack:
The ending song is absolutely beautiful in either Japanese or English. Other than that, I found the music to be rather bland.

Overall:
It's hard for me not to recommend a movie that I personally enjoyed, but it would be even harder for me to recommend a movie that I'd have a hard time watching again.
Green Legend Ran isn't bad if you want a long self-contained story in one $20 DVD or if you're the type who only watches every show you buy once.
Still, I can't recommend that you buy it... Give it a rental if you have nothing else you plan to watch, but that's as far as my recommendation for this anime goes.

I know the plot may be pretty similar to some other stories, but I thought the animation was awesome, and the overall movie was great. Plus, the characters were really well done.

It first seemed to have a cheesy environmental message, but it was really a great story about freedom as if to say "Sure we may have made mistakes with our planet, but still it's our planet." Good message against revenge as well.

It was an average movie with a strange and inconsistent storyline. Pictures and action scenes were pretty good but does not really make up for the confusing plot. The conflict between Ran and his mother's killer (his dad's friend?) was not resolved and the ending kinda left me hanging up there.

Better luck next time I guess.

It"s the crappiest anime Ieve seen besides Akia! It had a stupid storyline and the animation sucks! I recommend watching Ghost in the Shell or Wing of Honnieamise.
