Yes! I love the retro feel! Super powers! The Outrageous martial-arts free-for-all in episode 7 is the greatest! Ginrei is the queen of everything! Big fire are a bunch of pseudo-nazis. It's hilarious.

Definitely one of the best, and underated anime you'll ever see. The music and animation are excellent and I love the combination of classic mecha action, intense psychic fighting and deep storyline. Buy this anime, NOW. Both the dubbed and subtitled versions are worth it.

Giant Robo
The best story of any anime i've ever seen. It had it all, giant robots, some of the best fight seens i've ever have seen, a kick ass score, and characters you really felt for. This anime is the best for it's complex and intoxicating storyline and excellent animation.

I have searched high and low on the Net for information about this series. I have come to one conclusion. There is very little info on the Net about this series. This is very strange for two reasons: 1) It is very cheap (The entire series will most likely run you under $100.00). 2)It is VERY GOOD!!

HELLO!! THIS IS THE BEST ANIME SERIES YOU ARE NOT WATCHING PEOPLE!!! Give it a shot. This is well worth it!!!

It's a matter of opinion, really. Serpent.org says this is a series you either love or hate, depending on what you like to see in anime. Actually before I saw Giant Robo I thought it would be stupid too. I was getting sort of jaded by Japanese animation in general, having seen a LOT of different shows, and so much of the art and story looking identical. Seeing Giant Robo was like finding a diamond in the rough, finally something different and much larger in scope than most other OAVs. This site http://www.ex.org/3.2/04-feature_gr1.html provides a great (if long) review of the series. Anyone who hasn't seen the anime might want to check it out to see where it's coming from.

my girlfriend kept bugging me to watch Giant Robo, and I didn't want to, but now i'm glad she did, cuz this show rocks. watch Murasame Kenji, he shoots himself through the noggin and lives!! and the Eye of Vogler is cool.

Excellent series, with one of the most powerful and convoluted stories in
animation. The style of the art is old-fashioned but the animation is
pretty technically impressive. The direction of the plot changes, so the
first volume is kind of different from the rest. Don't miss out on seeing the
later episodes; it's well worth your time.
