has a creepy feeling
to it. I reconmend
seeing if you like

This movie is quite gruesome and quite depressing to watch.
Yes this is very sad one

Like nightmare on elm street,
Like Hell Raiser.
Throw in a few mecha and machine and there you have it
Genocyber. Human merge with machine and they tranform into
a huge monster! that sum it all.

If you like those kind of movie well it for you.
Grave of a fireflies is similar in a way but
is more realistic and very sorrow and pitiful!

This is not for the faint hearted. Blood and guts. I've never seen people blow up in so many ways. I loved the main theme song.

I have only seen the first tape but am a big fan of this anime. The character design and story are very interesting. The animation is pretty minimal but the artwork, the striking use of little flashes of stop-motion/live action and computer animation, and the direction make up for this. I love the cyborg/mech meets psychic concept.

In response to some of the comments above - I actually liked the
fact that the series didn´t have any single storyline,there were
no real heroes or villains (ok,plenty of nasty people),the film
just followed the fate of the central charachter and the people
that surrounds her from a outsider´s viewpoint. disturbing but
compelling.....

A painfully tired reworking of 80's style anime sci-fi, with a disjointed storyline that doesn't make much sense even after all five episodes are viewed. Particular aspects to the storyline are dropped in, as if intended to be developed but never are. The traditional animation is clean but unspectacular, as is the effort to instill CG artwork, as well as some live-action special effects.

The series, overall, appears to be lacking direction and purpose. The main character(s) become ciphers by episode 2, of almost no purpose to the storyline at all. By episode 4, they're nothing more than a mythological entity. A waste of time and effort to watch.

Evidence that Tony Takezaki should have worked on Bubblegum Crisis! This anime has some excellent mecha and character designs, but those are surface elements. It delves into the human psyche and asks the question of who and what we are, and what our connections are to others. I've only seen the first episode, but it was creepy and exceptionally well done. Intelligent anime is right here. If you do not like blood and gore, you may want to avoid this one.
