Description:The Gemini Waterproof series are heavy-duty giant binoculars. Everything about these instruments says "quality." Their attractive rubber armoring and hefty all-metal CNC-machined and cast aluminum construction is guaranteed to last for many years to come. The optical quality measures up to that of the precision mechanics, which makes these excellent instruments for astronomical and wildlife observation. The Gemini 20x80 Triplet model features 15mm of eye relief and wide-angle 58-degree oculars for a picture-window view. Fully broadband multi-coated optics and BAK4 prisms farther enhance image quality. Smooth, CNC-machined individual focusers provide the precision focusing essential for maximum performance on astronomical targets. Every binocular is filled with dry nitrogen gas to help prevent internal fogging due to sudden changes in temperature. Collimation can be adjusted by experienced users, if necessary. Each binocular is covered by Garrett Opticals two-year warranty and is individually tested for collimation prior to shipping, and any necessary adjustments are performed by the experienced hand of former U.S. Navy Opticalman Cory Suddarth of Suddarth Optical Repair. An added perk is that every Gemini 20x80 Triplet Waterproof binocular comes with a deluxe heavy-duty carrying case with durable PVC armoring and aluminum trim. The cases are lined with soft, "egg-crate"-style foam for maximum protection. This 7 lb., 8 oz. binocular utilizes triplet objectives for outstanding flat-field performance across its wide 2.9° field of view (152 ft./1000 yds.). It features a heavily-constructed aluminum center brace with a built-in rubber-footed tripod adapter for easy mounting. The Gemini 20x80 giant binocular could very well represent the perfect compromise between aperture and magnification for astronomical and long-range or low-light terrestrial observation.
