I have two of these red tubed Edmunds and love them. The optics are supurb. The fork mount is sturdy and does a good job. The peir mount is good as well. The only down side to the peir I have is poly straps instead of rings (being replaced).

Cool down is very good and well ventilated. After texurizing the tubes the contrast is great and cassini rings sharp.

Value is better than average but getting hard to find out there.

This is a great scope with very fine optics. Early Edmunds have remarkable mirrors for the money and it is as bright and sharp (perhaps brighter) than my LX200 8".

They are a rare beast.....

Heavy fork mount is more than adequate for this 6" scope. Solid as a rock. The same scope in an 8" uses esentionally the same mount and tripod and is a bit shaky. Fairly good cool down and nice optics. Motor drive funtions OK but a bit small for such a beast.

All in all a great "vintage" scope.

Very bright and exceptional optics considering this was an entry level scope that sold for about $700.00. Focuser is good but if I wasn't so keen on keeping it original I'd upgrade. I did the walnut shell routine on the OTA and the contrast is really excellent. Have not yet done a star test. I will be re-coating the mirrors this January (too cold to be outside here) and will star test then. What a classic!!!!!

Please list review comments on Edmund 3007 - 6" F/6. Same scope just received additional info and started new listing.

Thanks
