Of the three DBZ movies that Toonami runs over and over again (and therefore the most likely ones that anyone reading this review would know of), this one has to be the best.
Most DBZ fans just watch for the action, for which I can't blame them... And what's good about this movie is that, while there IS the slightest bit of plot going on, there's a lot less talking and more fighting going on compared to the other two movies. Besides, the fights are less one-sided. Take a look at Tree of Might. In comparison to the main villain, nobody really stood a chance until Goku used the Genki Dama/Spirit Bomb. For a series that prides itself on dramatic fights, there was nothing dramatic about it.
But that was Tree of Might and this is The World's Strongest. Here, everyone gets in on the fighting action, everyone gets to show off their skills, the bad guys get to do some damage, the good guys get to do some damage... It's back and forth, and because of that, it seems truer to a real fight.
I would talk more about the movie... But really, what is DBZ except one big fight scene?

However, I must note that the animation is top-notch for this movie. The fighting animation appears as if they're actually fighting, as opposed to the shortcuts taken in the TV series. Sure, they can explain those shortcuts by saying "They're fighting at super-speed, you just can't see everything," but what I like to see are punches and kicks actually moving from one frame to the next, not suddenly disappearing into a black blur.

If you have to watch anything DBZ just so that your friends stop bugging you about it, pick this movie. It's probably the most fighting you'll ever see in the entire series in a 60-minute timeframe, with no 10-minute pre-battle verbal confrontations messing everything up. Much better than the TV series.

What a sad attempt at making a dragon ball z movie that was. It was nothing like the series and the voices were terrible. That annoying laugh of doctor willow i wanted to kill him. And when goku was gathering energy for the spirit bomb he sounded like a burntout surfer. There were a few good scences in it though like when Dr. Willow's arm turned into a machine gun and started shooting at kurrilin (to bad he didn't hit him) and when Dr. Willow shoot at gohan with his staff those were pretty cool. But for the most part the movie was stupid bad voice acting bad music.
*Note* This was the version that was shown on cartoon network so maybe they screwed it up i don't know.

THE REASON I VOTED 0 FOR WORLDS STRONGEST IS THAT IT WAS FAKE !!! BECAUSE GOKO DIDN'T KNOW THE K.O. KEN ATTACK.AS A MATTER OF FACT I PROBOBLY COULD HAVE KICKAD HIS BUTT MY SELF.HE NEVER EVEN KNEW THE SPRIT BOMB AND THAT WAS THE MOVE THAT KILLED DR.WILLOW BY,GOTANKS
