Discovery PDHQ 10"
I've had my PDHQ 10 for about a year. Like everyone else who orders a PDHQ from Discovery, I had a longer than promised, longer than reasonable wait (3-4 months). When the scope finally arrived, the box the tube was in was in tatters (thanks UPS). Despite this, the tube only had one small (1/4" Dia) hole in it that did not go all the way through the tube and a bent bolt which I was able to straighten. The other boxes and their contents were in good shape. The mirror had a warning on it about "sleeks", but it was in perfect condition, no sleeks or other anomalies.

The scope was easy to assemble and the mechanics perform as advertised. Smooth motions throughout and no balance problems. The focuser is excellent.

Optically, I got an excellent sample. The scopes mirrors are easy to collimate and the optics perform beyond my expectations. I've used the scoppe quite a bit and views through the scope are excellent. This goes for planetary, lunar and deep sky. The finder is fair, I also ordered a Telrad which has worked well.

The included Plossl EPs are fair to good, on par with Meade 3000s or 4000s.

I feel I got my money's worth with this scope and that it is the best value available in it's class.
