An excellent "midband width" type filter designed by Dan McShane (DGM Optics). The VHT bandwidth is between a broadband and UHC and is especially good for smaller aperture scopes where total optical throughput is needed. Another desirable quality is that stellar images are dimmed somewhat less than with traditional UHC filters.
